Strength Finder 2.0 is still available but was published in 2007 by Tim Roth, the latest version seems to be Clifton Strength Finder by Gallup .  There are 34 strengths in the strength finder 2.0 book.  by answering a series of questions you get your top 5 strengths.  There is some criticism that you can sometimes get contradictory strengths in the top 5 because you start with too many options being 34 possible strengths.
Before Strengths Finder but still widely used today was the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MTBI) which is a personality assessment based on the late Swiss psychologist Carl Jung’s work. It has four dimensions:

  • Intoversion vs. Extroversion: the source of our energy
  • Sensing and Intuition: how we gather information
  • Thinking and Feeling: how me make decisions
  • Judging and Perceiving: how we approach life

Peter Drucker Quote
People-decisions are time-consuming, for the simple reason that the Good Lord did not create people as “resources” for organizations. They do not come in proper size and shape for the tasks that have to be done in organization – and they cannot be machined down or re-cast for these tasks. People are always “almost fits” at best. To get the work done with people therefore requires lots of time, thought and judgement.
